Pond Rejuvenation and Sustenance Program: Sir Syed Trust (SST)

Project Term

Behror & Nalagarh: August 2025- March 2028

Key Features

  • Rejuvenation and maintenance of community ponds, including desilting, deepening, waste removal, and bund strengthening.
  • Creation of recharge channels, feeder pathways, and improved drainage to enhance water percolation.
  • Farmer training sessions on sustainable agriculture, soil health, mulching, and climate-resilient crop practices.
  • Promotion of chemical-free agricultural practices across multiple villages to improve tree cover and long-term soil health.
  • Installation of drip irrigation systems to promote water-efficient farming and reduce wastage.
  • Strengthening Village Development Committees to manage water assets independently.
  • Formation and capacity building of farmer groups to encourage peer learning and collective action.
